LET US CUSTOMIZE AN EDUCATION AND AWARENESS Event for your group!
ABMW available to speak with you or your group about the NMDP (Be the Match) registry and provide more kidney awareness information at a convenient time and location for you (i.e., places of business and worship; family reunions; picnics; community meetings; conferences; special events).
SPACE NEEDED
The space necessary to conduct the education and awareness sessions is minimal.
Health Fairs/Events:
1-2 tables and 4-6 chairs
Group Presentations:
Microphone and small table for literature
BENEFITS
Participants learn about:
1. The need to help increase the diversity of the registry (nationally, locally, and personally)
2. Possible risks to patients and donors
3. National Marrow Donor Program (Be the Match) registry bone marrow harvesting process
TIME
The education and awareness for individual and small clusters of 2-3 people average 3-5 minutes, while sessions for audiences of 10 or more average 15-20 minutes.
This simple process may SAVE or EXTEND A LIFE.
